This is an absolutely stunning specimen of a Lyoceras lyghum ammonite from the Cretaceous of Madagascar. thick-bodied ammonite has been cut in half, and both halves have been polished to make for a beautiful display. The tiny inner whorls of the lenticular ammonite are easily seen, and the colorful chamber pattern is beautifully displayed. Many of the golden-brown chambers are hollow and filled with crystals. The size of the ammonite, the beautiful, hollow chambers, and the exquisite detail make this an extremely displayable specimen.
