Here is a very striking ammonite specimen. This is a multiple Dactylioceras ammonite plate from the Jurassic of Germany. This type of cephalopod has a very rounded keel and displays very fine ribbing. The ammonites are inflated and exhibit very nice detail. The distinct fossils displays the inner whorls beautifully. The yellowish ammonites contrast nicely with the dark brown matrix. This is a very displayable Jurassic ammonite multiple from Germany.
