This is a very displayable pair of chambered ammonites from the Jurassic of Russia. There are two different examples of Cosmoceras proniae on this slab. This type of ammonite has many, many ribs and a sharp keel. One of the ammonites have been cut open to reveal the amazing inner chambers. The hollow chambers are lined with bright pyrite crystals - the golden coloration is just spectacular (even better than the picture)! The fossil cephalopods are beautifully showcased together. This is a stunning display specimen of beautiful chambered ammonites from Russia.
