This is a very unusual double specimen of fossil gastropods from the Mississippian of Iowa. These gastropods are found in an extremely hard limestone matrix. Both gastropod specimens have been prepared to showcase the fine detail. The fossil snails are extremely inflated and 3-dimensional. This is a very nice specimen of two different, unusual fossil snails from Iowa.
