Here is a great vertebrate fossil. This is a large Bison priscus jaw from the Ice Age of Siberia. Four large teeth are still firmly embedded in the jaw of this extinct buffalo. The teeth show very little wear - the enamel is wonderfully displayed. The bone quality is quite distinct and very easily seen. This is a very unusual fossil - what a conversation piece!
