Here is a very detailed grouping of fossil starfish from the Ordovician of Morocco. This plate contains THREE beautiful Lapworthia brittlestars and a rare, unidentified true starfish. All of the brittlestars exhibit gorgeous detail - the large central discs are wonderfully displayed, and the long, sinuous arms are nicely intact. It is highly unusual to have three fabulous brittlestars and a complete true starfish preserved so close together. The fossils have excellent, totally natural, orange coloration that contrasts beautifully with the light tan matrix. The fossils are well showcased on the somewhat triangular block. This is a very aesthetic plate of fossil 'stars from Africa.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
