Here is fabulous echinoid from Gilmore City, Iowa. The plate has a rare Arcaeocidaris aliquantula echinoid preserved. The urchin is beautifully displayed with spines intact, which is quite unusual. There is also a very nice starburst Rhodocrinites douglassi excavatus crinoid with stem on the plate. The fossils have great color and contrast and are naturally positioned on the squared plate of limestone. This is a very uncommon echinoid and crinoid association from a classic locality that is now closed to collecting.
