Here is a very detailed insect double on a plate of shale. These rare fossil Cricket specimens are from the Green River Formation of Utah. These insects have excellent detail preserved. The head, body, and long legs of the crickets are easily seen. The fossils have very good natural color and contrast and are well positioned on the natural plate of shale that also includes other insect. This is a pair of very distinct examples of rare crickets from the Green River Shale.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
