This is a very nice specimen of Tetragramma variolare from the Cretaceous of Morocco. This beautiful sea urchin has been removed from the matrix so that it can be viewed from all angles. The fossil is quite robust and exhibits extremely fine detail. The entire test is covered with small pustules, and the thin ambulacra are very easily seen. This is an excellent example of this distinct echinoid from Africa.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
