Here is a fabulous specimen of Clypeaster crassicostatus from the Miocene of Spain. This large echinoid exhibits very fine detail. The petaloid ambulacra are very well defined, and the test of the echinoid is entirely covered with fine ornamentation. The natural color and classic shape of the sea urchin are wonderfully displayed. This is an excellent example of this large sea urchin from Espania.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
