Here is a very unusual vertebrate fossil. It is a large Bison (Buffalo) ''Hump'' vertebra from the Ice Age Deposits of Nebraska. This vertebra was located right behind the head of the Bison, where the hump of the Bison is located - the LONG process on this vertebra gave the Bison its hump! This is a wonderful collector fossil which makes for a great conversation piece.
