This is a nice specimen of Asteroceras sp. from the Jurassic of England. This ammonite is very 3-dimensional and exhibits very coarse ribbing. The fossil has excellent, greenish color and contrasts well with the brownish limestone matrix. It is beautifully perched on the block of matrix which has been sawed flat on the bottom for display purposes. This is a good example of this collectible ammonite from England.
