Here is an unusual vertebrate fossil. This is a fine Bison priscus jaw from the Ice Age of Siberia. Three large teeth are still firmly embedded in the jaw of this extinct Buffalo. The teeth show very little wear - the enamel is wonderfully displayed. The bone quality is quite detailed and very easily seen. This is a very uncommon Ice Age fossil - what a conversation piece!
