Here is a very distinct Ice Age fossil. It is a large Ursus speleaus (Cave Bear Vertebra) from the Pleistocene Cave deposits of Romania. This vertebra is extremely 3-dimensional and has excellent shape and form. The detail of the fossil bone is exquisitely preserved, and the processes are easily seen. The specimen displays beautifully from all angles. This is an excellent specimen of a fossil vertebra from an extinct Bear.
