This is a nice European ammonite. It is a large Dactylioceras ammonite from Holzmaden, Germany. The ammonite has very good detail - the ribbing pattern is easily seen. The cephalopod is nicely showcased on the large, natural plate of shale. This is a displayable example of a large Dactylioceras ammonite from Germany.
