This is a very nice vertebrate fossil. It is a large Cave Bear (Ursus spelaeus) tooth from the Pleistocene of Romania. Cave bear material is becoming harder to obtain, as the cave deposits have been heavily collected. The tooth has very good enamel and root structure preserved. The cusps are worn, so this must have been an old tooth. This is a fine specimen of an extinct Cave Bear molar from the Ice Age of Romania.
