Here is an excellent fossil tooth from a Mosasaur. This is a large Mosasaurus anceps tooth from the Cretaceous of Morocco. This robust marine lizard tooth is very inflated and exhibits fine detail. The corrugated enamel of the tooth is beautifully preserved, and the very tip of the tooth displays NO natural wear. A small portion of the root of the tooth is still intact. The fossil has wonderful color and contrast and is well displayed on the large block of matrix. This tooth has not been composited - it is totally natural to the rock. This is a very collectible example of a huge tooth from this ferocious marine reptile.
