Here is a fabulous fossil insect. This is an extremely rare fossil Bee or Wasp from the Jurassic of China. The head, body, and legs of the beast are easily seen. Under magnification, even the antennae are distinctly preserved. This fossil insect has great natural color and contrast and is well positioned on the large, natural plate of shale. And, best of all, this is a split pair fossil - both halves of the fossil are included here. This is a very fine example of a very distinct fossil insect from the Time of the Dinosaurs.
