This is a very unusual brittlestar fossil. It is a plate of fine Ophiopetra brittlestars from the famous Solnhofen Limestone of Hienheim, Germany. This plate has THREE five-armed Ophiopetra preserved in fine fashion. The Ophiopetra have long, thin, sinuous arms covered with large spines and a small central disc. All three stars have excellent detail and are beautifully spaced on the large slab of lithographic limestone. This is a very displayable plate of fossil brittlestars from Germany.
