Here is a very nice Mammoth tooth. It is a large molar from the Woolly Mammoth, Mammuthus primigenius from Siberia, Russia. This tooth is extremely large, definitely from an adult mammoth. The grinding surface is excellent, showing the plate structure extremely well. Almost all of the roots of the tooth are present. The tooth has great color and texture. And it is HEAVY - definitely a fossil tooth. This is a very fine example of a large mammoth tooth from the Ice Age of Siberia.
