Here is an extremely rare trilobite-eating organisms, identified as a Xiphosurid. This enigmatic animal is one of the rarest and most unusual organisms to be found in these Lower Ordovician layers. There is a rare COMPLETE specimen preserved on the plate - it is textbook, with the head, thorax, and telson extremely well preserved. There are also MANY appendages preserved - we have never seen on of these critters with so much detail! The NATURAL red-orange color is quite beautiful and very easily seen. This is a top quality, very collectible specimen of this strange and little-known arthropod from the Ordovician of North Africa.
