Here is a fabulous plate of fossils from the Eocene of Utah. There is a multitude of insects on this slab. There are TWO very rare Crickets, an extremely rare Moth, and many tiny insects fossilized on the rock. Under magnification, the fossils exhibit terrific detail. The Moth even has the color pattern of the wings preserved! The insects contrast nicely with the lighter-colored matrix. The fossils are well centered on the large, squared plate of shale. This is an extremely fine slab with many different fossil insects from the Eocene age.
