Here is fabulous plate of echinoderms from Gilmore City, Iowa. The plate has TWO rare Arcaeocidaris aliquantula echinoids preserved. The urchins are beautifully displayed with spines intact, which is quite unusual. There is also a very nice Rhodocrinites douglassi excavatus crinoid on the right side of the plate - this is an extremely rare species! The fossils have great color and contrast and are naturally positioned on the large, semi-rectangular plate of limestone. This is a TOP QUALITY multiple echinoid and crinoid association from a classic Midwestern fossil locality - probably the best we have ever had.
