This is a nice US ammonite. It is a fine Hoploscaphites nicolletti from the Late Cretaceous of South Dakota. This type of ammonite has distinct ribbing and a rounded keel. This 3-dimensional ammonite is well preserved, and the dark, natural coloration is easily seen. The ammonite is wonderfully presented on the natural block of concretionary matrix that also contains many other fossils. This is a very affordable example of this classic ammonite from the Fox Hills Formation.
