Here is an extremely uncommon trilobite-eating organisms from the class, Merostomata and order, Aglaspida. This animal, Chlupacaris dubia, n. gen., n. sp. (?), is one of the most unusual organisms to be found in these Upper Ordovician layers. This excellent juvenile specimen has the textbook segmentation extremely well preserved. The NATURAL red-orange color is quite beautiful and very easily seen. And this is a split pair - both halves of the fossil are included. This is a collectible specimen of this little-known and enigmatic arthropod from the Ordovician.
