This is a very displayable Ice Age fossil. It is a complete Front Paw from the extinct Romanian Cave Bear, Ursus speleaus. Cave Bears were the largest members of the Bear family and the chief animal hunted by Neandertal man. Cave Bear material is getting harder to find - most of the caves have been discovered and collected out. This is a large front paw with all the digits and claws intact. The bones have been internally wired together for strength, stability, and better display. This is an excellent conversation piece from this extinct Ice Age Bear.
