This is a great example of a colonial coral. It is a very unusual specimen of a Round Coral Colony from the Pliocene of Florida. The fossil has been extracted from the surrounding matrix so that it can be viewed from all angles. This specimen is fully round and is the size of a tennis ball! There seems to be no attachment point - amazing. This is a very fine example of an uncommon round fossil colonial coral.
