This is a very fine example of a fossil coral from the Pleistocene of Florida. This fossil has been removed from the surrounding matrix so that it can be viewed from all angles. This 3-dimensional coral exhibits outstanding detail. The septae of the coral are beautifully displayed, and the back side of the coral is also well preserved. The off-white color of the coral is quite striking. This is a very large, displayable coral from the Florida Keys.
