This is a very nice vertebrate fossil. It is a large Cave Bear (Ursus spelaeus) tooth from the Pleistocene of Romania. Cave bear material is becoming harder to obtain, as the cave deposits have been heavily collected. The tooth has very good enamel and structure preserved. The cusps are barely worn, so this must have been an unused tooth. This is a very fine specimen of an extinct Cave Bear molar from the Ice Age of Romania.
