This is a very large cave bear jaw from the Pleistocene of Romania. Cave bear material is becoming harder to obtain as the cave deposits have been heavily collected. Three excellent teeth are retained in the jawbone. The large teeth have excellent enamel and exhibit a lot of wear - the jaw was from a large, adult bear. The jawbone is also in nice condition. This is a very fine display specimen of a large cave bear jaw with three teeth.
