Mosasaurs were giant marine lizards. Here is a fine tooth of Mosasaurus sp. from the Cretaceous of Morocco. The tooth is quite 3-dimensional and wonderfully preserved. The shiny, dark brown tooth displays the corrugated enamel in beautiful fashion. The tip of the tooth is near perfect and a portion of the root of the tooth is intact. The tooth has great color and good contrast. It is well centered on the natural block of matrix that also contains some other tooth and bone fragments. This is an excellent mosasur tooth from a "new" location in Morocco.
