Here is a fabulous starfish specimen from the Ordovician of Morocco. This plate contains a beautiful, complete true starfish. The fossil sea star exhibits fantastic detail - all five of the extremely long arms are intact, and the plate structure is very easily seen. It is extremely unusual to have all of the arms so nicely preserved. The fossil has excellent, totally natural, orange-brown coloration and contrasts strikingly with the light tan matrix. The fossil is inflated and beautifully showcased on the large block of sandstone that also contains a cool edrioasteroid on the left side. This is easily one of the best true starfish fossils we have ever offered for sale.
