This is a very attractive ammonite. It is a colorful Cleoniceras cleon from the Cretaceous of Madagascar. This fabulous ammonite has been cut in half and both halves have been highly polished. The coiling pattern of the mollusk is easily seen, and the individual chambers are wonderfully defined. The distinct suture lines are also well displayed. This is a beautiful specimen of Cleoniceras from Madagascar.
