This is a very attractive ammonite. It is a yellow Cleoniceras cleon from the Cretaceous of Madagascar. This ammonite has been cut in half and both halves have been highly polished. The coiling pattern of the mollusk is easily seen, and the individual chambers are wonderfully defined. The bright yellow color is fully natural and quite striking. This is a very displayable specimen of Cleoniceras from Madagascar.
