Here is a very fine multiple specimen of a rare cystoid. These are Glyptocystis robusta from the Ordovician of Morocco. These cystoids are very distinct for the type. The echinoderms exhibit wonderful detail - the highly ornamented plates are beautifully preserved. The lengthy stems are still intact on three of specimens, which is quite unusual. The fossils have excellent color and contrast and are beautifully showcased on the large limestone concretion. This is the most numerous multiple example of this primitive cystoid we have seen.
