This is a very nice example of an unusual fossil insect. It is a fine Insect from the Cretaceous of Brazil. The insect (Water Bug?) is very well defined and exhibits nice detail - the long legs are easily seen. The dark-brown color of the insect contrasts beautifully with the light-colored matrix. The fossil is well presented on the somewhat rectangular plate of matrix. This is a great example of a cool, extinct Insect from the Cretaceous.
