This is a very nice vertebrate fossil. It is a large Cave Bear (Ursus spelaeus) molar from the Pleistocene of Romania. Cave bear material is becoming harder to obtain, as the cave deposits have been heavily collected. The tooth has very good enamel and structure preserved. The cusps are not very worn, so this must have been a somewhat newer tooth. This is a fine specimen of a large molar from an extinct Cave Bear .
