Here is a nice multiple plate of fossils from the Eocene of Colorado. There are DOZENS of insects on this slab. There are many different insects fossilized on the rock. Under magnification, the fossils exhibit terrific detail. The bugs even have the legs and antennae preserved! The insects contrast nicely with the lighter-colored matrix. The fossils are well showcased on the natural plate of shale. This is a cool slab with MANY different fossil insects from the Eocene age.
