This is an excellent spiny sea urchin fossil. It is a very nice double Archaeocidaris echinoid from Texas. This displayable specimen has very good detail preserved - most of the fragile spines are still intact and and easily seen on both fossils (rare). The urchins are nicely showcased on the large matrix plate. This is a very collectible pair of fossil echinoids from the Pennsylvanian Period.
