This is an excellent fossil insect from the Eocene of Colorado. On the plate is a fabulous fossil Beetle. This insect is easily seen with the naked eye. This large bug is extremely detailed. The features of this insect are just wonderful - the head, body, legs, and antennae are beautifully displayed. The fossil has great color and contrast and is nicely showcased on the natural plate of shale. This is a fantastic fossil insect from the Green River Formation.
