This is a beautiful specimen of Wavellite from the National Limestone Quarry, Lime Ridge, Mount Pleasant Mills, Snyder County, Pennsylvania. This awesome piece was found in 2011. The color of the Wavellite is a nice yellow-green, and the unusual dome-like structures are still intact. The Wavellite contrasts wonderfully with the orange-red base. This is a very collectible example of Wavellite from Central Pennsylvania.
