The keel is quite flat, with a row of prominent nodes on both sides. This ammonite is very 3-dimensionally preserved and exhibits fine detail. The cephalopod is extremely inflated and 3-D, and the reddish-brown iridescent nacre is partially displayed. The ammonite is fully free of matrix - the back side is mostly weathered.
