Here is a very pretty ammonite. This is Cleoniceras cleon from the Cretaceous of Madagascar. The ammonite has been highly polished on both sides. The coiling pattern of the cephalopod is easily seen, and the intricate suture pattern is beautifully displayed. The white sutures contrast nicely with the golden brown ammonite. This is a very attractive specimen of Cleoniceras from Madagascar.
