This is a very interesting specimen of a fossil bivalve. It is an unidentified scallop with many examples of barnacles embedded on the surface, which is quite unusual. The barnacles cover an entire one side of the shell, but the other half of the shell was left intact! The detail of both the bivalve and barnacles is extremely nice. This is a very displayable multiple barnacle and scallop specimen from the Pliocene of Florida.
