Here is a very nice plate of fossils from the Eocene of Colorado. There are many nice insects on this slab. Most are different types of insects - beatles, flies, etc. Under magnification, the fossils exhibit terrific detail. The insects contrast nicely with the lighter-colored matrix. The fossils are well showcased on the natural-edged plate of shale that also contains a cool bug-eaten leaf! This is an extremely fine slab with different fossil insects and leaf from the Eocene age.
