Here is an amazing plate of fossil insects from the Eocene of Utah. There are dozens of insects of different types on this slab. Under magnification, the fossils exhibit terrific detail, and the insects contrast nicely with the lighter-colored matrix. The fossils are well showcased on the natural-edged plate of shale that also contains a small, star-shaped flower and two different leaves, one of which has textbook bug-eaten edges. This is an extremely fine slab with MANY different fossil insects from the Eocene age.
