This is a very interesting historical item. It is a genuine Confederate Ten dollar bill from the Confederate States of America, Richmond, Virginia. This is a true piece of history as much as it is a bank note. This large-sized 1864 note displays well - the calvary pulling a cannon and the portrait are easily seen. The back of the note has the nice aqua ink tones with the large "TEN" with the "10" in each corner. You can tell that these notes were crafted like a work of art and not just printed, as were so many of the pieces of the day. This is a cool piece of Civil War memorabilia and Confederate States currency. (The note comes in an acid free acrylic holder for display and preservation.)
