This is a very nice vertebrate fossil. It is a long Cave Bear (Ursus spelaeus) tooth from the Pleistocene of Romania. Cave bear material is becoming harder to obtain, as the cave deposits have been heavily collected over the years. This tooth has very nice enamel and structure preserved. The very tip is not worn from use, which is quite interesting. And the tooth displays beautifully in a glass-topped display case. This is a very fine specimen of an extinct Cave Bear tooth from the Ice Age of Romania.
