Here is an excellent specimen of a Mosasaurus anceps tooth. This HUGE specimen is from the Cretaceous of Morocco. This large marine reptile tooth is very robust and exhibits extremely fine detail. The corrugated enamel of the tooth is just wonderful. The tip of the tooth displays almost no wear from use, which is quite interesting. The fossil has beautiful natural color and contrast and is wonderfully showcased on the large block of matrix - natural, not composited! Also, the back side of the tooth displays very well. This is one of the larger, better quality Mosasaur teeth we have had.
