This is a very interesting fossil. It is a large Unidentified Cephalopod from the Ordovician of Minnesota. This cephalopod displays the chambers in wonderful fashion. This fossil cephalopod is very 3-dimensional and exhibits fine detail - the long, tubular shape is easily seen. The fossil is beautifully displayed on the large block of limestone matrix that also contains other cephalopods. This is a very displayable example of this classic Paleozoic cephalopod.
